About Us

The HSL (Herzliya Science Laboratory) is part of the Herzliya Science Center and is supported by the city Herzliya, located in Israel. Mainly, HSLs goal is to provide an educational, productive way to expand the subject of space technology to willing teenagers.

For instance, the Duchifat project is operated completely by high school students, as in, high school students take full responsibility over planning of the Moon Phases Calendar 2024, building as well engineering the satellites (with the help of professional guiding mentors) which later on, are launched into space. Such thing gives the project a unique quality; not only is it run by students but the project has been proven to be successful – Duchifat-1 was already launched into space and is still fully functioning, Duchifat-2 AKA Hoopoe is currently under work.
